About Christianne
Christianne Beffel Barger is a graduate of The Ohio State University, with a BFA in dance and a minor in theatre. She is originally from Ohio and moved to Florida with her actor husband, Kurt L. Barger, so that they could continue to perform where there are more opportunities for both of them.
Christianne currently performs at the major theme parks in Florida and travels around the country dancing, stilt-walking, and performing other variety and atmosphere acts. Among her favorite theatrical credits are Tiger Lily in Peter Pan, The Stepmother in Cinderella, and Annie (six) in Chicago, where she also understudied the role of Velma Kelly. From her extensive directing credits, some of her favorite shows include Little Shop of Horrors, Footloose, Honk! and Seussical. Christianne loves to teach and has been teaching dance and musical theatre since 2008. She has taught at a number of dance schools across the country and was the Artistic Director for The Sidney Dance Company in Sidney, OH. |
Christianne became certified to teach Elementary Labanotation in June 2009 and is now interested in sharing her love of Notation with other dancers and performers. She taught Labanotation to dance major students at The Ohio State University, and she had the opportunity to help conduct a Notation workshop with the New York Theatre Ballet, where the principle dancers learned the basics of Labanotation and learned an excerpt of choreography from Tudor's ballet Soirée Musicale from its original score.
